Key Responsibilities
As an apprentice, you will learn on the job while supporting experienced childcare professionals. Duties will include:
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing, learning, and development
- Helping to maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating environment
- Assisting with safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Observing and supporting activities linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Monitoring and recording children’s progress, routines, meals, and medication
- Supporting children with individual needs, disabilities, cultural backgrounds, and medical requirements
- Assisting with meal and snack times, including special dietary needs
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, care, and professionalism throughout the setting
