Employer description:

As an apprentice, you will receive structured on-the-job training alongside formal study,

supporting our Financial Planners with administrative and client service tasks while

developing a strong understanding of the financial planning process.

Key Responsibilities

With training and support, you will learn to:

? Provide high-quality administrative support to the practice

? Prepare and maintain client files, ensuring documentation and compliance

requirements are met

? Support advisers with meeting preparation and follow-up actions

? Produce client correspondence, letters, and reports using templates

? Accurately update and maintain client records on Salesforce CRM


? Process applications and assist with liaising between advisers, product providers,

clients, and third parties

? Handle incoming calls and respond to client queries in a professional manner

? Run reports, illustrations, and collate key financial planning data

? Liaise with St. James’s Place Administration Centres to support timely completion of

transactions


About You

This role would suit someone who is:

? Educated to A-level standard (or equivalent), with strong GCSEs in Maths and

English

? Interested in finance, business, or professional services

? Highly organised with strong attention to detail

? Confident communicator, both written and verbal

? Professional, reliable, and eager to learn

? Motivated to build a long-term career in financial planning

? Willing to study towards professional qualifications alongside work

(No prior financial services experience is required – full training will be provided.)


Training & Progression

? Enrolment onto a relevant financial services apprenticeship programme

? Full training and development within the role

? Exam and study support towards the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning

? Clear progression opportunities, with the potential to move into a Trainee Financial

Adviser position from year 3 onwards
